Manchester United Considering Move for Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus

According to 90 min, Manchester United is apparently considering the idea of signing Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus as they continue their quest for a Cristiano Ronaldo replacement this month.

Ronaldo’s contract was cancelled prior to the World Cup after an inflammatory conversation with Piers Morgan, but his exit, which at the time came at little to no cost to United, has now left manager Erik ten Hag bereft of choices in attack.

The Dutchman has made it known that he wants to bring in a new forward this month, but he has been keen to stress that they must only bring in players who suit the right type of profile. Ten Hag is also well acquainted with Kudus due to their time spent together in Amsterdam, where Kudus has been since 2020.

No offer has yet been made, despite there apparently being conversations taking place behind the scenes.

The Old Trafford club’s financial status has recently been questioned, and the infamous Glazer family has put United up for sale, therefore it is unsure whether there will be any transfers in the near future.

Although loan-to-buy alternatives are also being investigated, United likes to look into cheaper agreements this month given the club’s overall financial situation.

United is considering Kudus, but they are also considering Memphis Depay, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and perhaps Olivier Giroud. Milan remains hopeful that it can retain the French superstar. Vincent Aboubakar has also come up since Ronaldo joined Al Nassr, the squad for which he competes.
